Do you think there could be a way to reverse the molecular degradation caused by radiation?
popular science is an excellent , reliable source of information. the amount of radiation you receive determines how well you can survive any exposure. very few people are ever exposed enough to have any discernible damage. the body is capable of repairing itself to a great degree. the latest issue of popular science has an excellent article about radiation exposure. it takes a lot of radiation to do serious damage. chernobyl was the worst example in the last 30 years. fukushima was just a relatively minor incident compared to Chernobyl. the worst exposure to radiation that most people get is from a ct scan. an x ray is a very insignificant amount of radiation. we are designed to deal with exposure to radiation on a daily basis. massive doses of radiation do too much damage too quickly to recover from.
