Any Ideas to Curb Population Explotion?

human population explosion threatens to take over the earth at the expense of the environment, other species. leads to wars and conflicts. environment degradation, pollution, gridlock. do we encourage people to have 1 child only(some folks out there have 95 children and 12 wives). any ideas to make sure 100 - 200 years from now- earth will be a better place for our children
