Splitting a mic signal between two cameras?
Assuming you are going to edit the video (and audio) at some later point that results in the two camera shots but only one audio track, you do not need to record the same audio to both cameras. One camera gets the mic connection, the other does not. One camera has good audio recorded, the other does not. Import the video from both cameras to the video editor and sync. Mute (even remove) the audio track of the video from the camera which recorded the poor audio. What is left is the good audio used by both video sequences. This is a LOT easier when using a video editor that can deal with multiple video and audio tracks (like FinalCut or Vegas), but is possible to do with video editors that can only accommodate a single video track and single (stereo) audio tracks...
