How much does merchant services cost?

I am opening a very small home based business and want to accept credit and debit cards. I will roughly have 10-15 $50 transactions per month. I don't want to pay outrageous fees since the business will probably only gross $400 a month as it is. Does any know roughly what percentage does the merchant take and how much it is to lease their equipement?
