Why do so many churches want to exclude Jesus?

When I think of a world without Jesus, I seriously draw a blank.. With all of the evil and degradation of society that we experience, such as homosexual marriage, abortion, infanticide and man's inhumanity to man, with Jesus in the world and His spirit convicting men of their sins, there is still hope, even for the hopeless.. I can't imagine a world without Him.. I wonder why so many so called churches want Him out of their midst? It seems man has not changed since the days of the Pharisees.. This is Jesus' show, don't join a church that keeps man in the driver's seat, trust in Jesus alone.
