Thinking about my future...?

Wow ! you have true motivation. This is really impressive and it really looks like you want to follow real ambitions and make a differerence in your life. Keep up the positive attitude. So here are a few things to watch out for: Make sure you have a 4.0 GPA every single term and every single year. A- and A+ just get turned into A's on the final report card. So as long as you can maintain a status quo of more than 90% in all subjects that would look great on your application though it is hard. Secondly, make sure you can join enough clubs, around 3 or even two is fine. Make sure you are actively involved in one club at least and try to run for officer and get elected. Thirdly, be involved in a sport or two. If you aren't the athletic type much, try out for a simple sport like badminton or something. It will be easier on you,and it looks good on your college application. Have good impressions with all of your teachers. Ok, the AP courses: Most people just think that they can wing it. AP takes a lot of time to do homework for and study for. As soon as you come home take no more than a half an hour break to get ready for studying. You will have to squeeze all this in and if you can manage your time well, you will do great. I know this seems really overwhelming, but by the time you are done with high school, you will be in a great college. And 1400 is not at all a bad start for a seventh grader. My brother took the SAT in 7th grade and he got a 1750. But its still pretty good. Apply for different competitions and try your best in science and math bowls. All these things along with your personality and your desire to learn will help you get into a good colelge. All the best ! It is a long journey but you will make it. :-) And btw neurologist is a very prestigious profession, I would suggest you go for it. Oh and i also forgot to add volunteering and internships to the list.
